What personal data is collection during counselling sessions
I will record all the information assessments which you will wish to share during a session; information such as your family history and medical information.
All recorded information is retained and locked in the filling cabinet which are kept at my house. Your contact data will be saved on my phone, which is insured under the Data Protection Act GDPR 2018.
You can request for your personal information at any time. I will take a copy of your file for my own evidence which will be destroyed in 7 years unless stated otherwise.
Other information about your such as date of birth and address may be used to identify you with the GP or other authority bodies if there is a need to access your personal data.
Your personal information will be held for a period of 7 years after our session ended unless advised to retain it longer by the authorities.
In the event of my incapacitation or death, your contact details will be available to my supervisor who will use to advise you of the situation.
